Low Expectations?

Tottenham Hotspur 3 Charlton 1

So here we are with Charlton facing more tough opposition later today, as the rearranged Liverpool game from 27 August, when Charlton were carrying all before them, now falls during a lowish period. In fact Charlton's record in January wasn't too bad, but the fallout from the Murphy affair seems to have affected morale a bit.

The regular SE7 commentators are also wondering why, when good players like Jerome Thomas are available, they don't get to start. There's also Lloyd Sam in the reserves, and yet Curbs persists with the likes of Bartlett and Hughes.

Charlton did improve at the Lane last Sunday, after Jerome came on and scored, but it was too late by then.

Let's hope for a more useful starting line up tonight. Here's hoping for something positive at least.
